I take great pleasure in saying “I told you so!!!!”. Perhaps I invoked the spirit of Nostradamus when I made my prophecy in late January. Or perhaps I’m just a bad ass political analyst (analist? — either way it’s true. ZING!). I did predict this victory in early January. Let’s take a look at my previous post:
It’s too early to call , some might say. Not I. No, I’m making my prediction early this election season. If no serious gaff or nefarious secret is revealed about Mr. Obama, it is very likely that we will have the first black president in the White House come 2009… I really think Obama is the only candidate that will really put his money where his mouth is and clean up the pig trough in Washington. Obama will trounce any republican candidate in his path.
I have waited for this moment for a long time. The last eight years has been a comedy (or dramedy) of errors. We were supposed to start the new millennium with a sense of promise yet this never materialized. Until now. We’re starting 8 years too late but never late than never. Let the winds of progress sweep through this nation and elevate the intellect, psyche, and disposition of this countries citizens. I encourage everyone to stop and appreciate your place in the world during this monumental moment in our infinitesimal history.
Florida, I’m no longer embarrassed to live in this state. Finally, we’re not the butt-end of a joke or the catalyst for eight years of an inept, corrupt, greedy, racist, and cruel administration. Redemption is in the air.
Do not think for one second that the fight is over. To the contrary, the fight and struggle will continue long after Obama takes office. Complacency is the ally of the status quo.
